.:Lacrosse Head Reviews - Brine Edge Aero:.

By Ian Casey of M2Lacrosse

Just one of the many in the Edge series, the Aero offers a head for the offensive minded player. It sells for around $70, but the price has been through some major changes as the edge series grows older and newer heads are developed.

The big difference in this variation is the weight and strength. The Aero has been stripped of the sidewall reinforcements to just the bare bones. This reduces the weight of the head, but also makes it a little bit weaker. The head has also been slightly pinched, for better control and hold. Other than that there isn't that much of a difference.

When playing i don't notice much difference between this and the original. It does have a better hold, and the ball doesn't smack the sidewalls as much while cradling, but that may just be my pocket. I would just go for a regular egde, as it is less money and is stronger. Not much is better than the classical edge. As for the pinching, i can do that myself, and save some money in the process. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice head; but the edge is a better deal. I would only get this is you are really into offense or light sticks. Otherwise, stick to the edge.
