Question from Kevin:
Can you get the dye [RIT] at Hobby lobby or some store like that??

Answer:
I'm not familiar with Hobby lobby but if its a hobby store then yes they should have it. You can also find it at most of the major pharmacy/other stuff stores like CVS, Eckerd, Genovese, or whatever you may have in your local area.

Question from Chris:
I do not play any other sports and not very fast or strong and i have Asthma, do those things mean I can not play, and if those things dont stop me from playing what can i do to get ready?

Answer:
I have played witih a few people who have asthma and it did not seem to stop them. As for not being fast or strong, those are things you can improve. Get in shape by running and working out and just to make sure ask your doctor what he thinks about playing a demanding sport like lacrosse.

Question from Jan
My (14 yr old) son wanted to know something about lacrosse because one of his friends (moved here from Wisconsin) had talked about playing it. I found your article, but it really doesn't help us. You may be astounded at our ignorance, but most folks here don't know anything about the game except perhaps they heard the name. We don't know what the teams are trying to do, or even whether they score points. It occurs to me that if you want to make this a more popular sport, you need to put something on the internet that will teach people in places like Texas. Don't laugh. You probably don't know much about rodeo (and there are colleges here that give scholarships.)

Answer:
Thanks for your suggestion. Look for a very beginners guide to lacrosse in the next few weeks.

Question from Tom
Any recommendations for a good head for a defense player (high school)?

Answer:
Although many will say that its time has passed, I am a strong advocate for the STX X2. Back when I played defense i used an X2 and swore by it. Some people like a more pinched stick and in this case I would recommend the STX Proton. I also used a Warrior Revolution, which played well also. I have never played with a defensemen who had a Brine head that survived a season.

Question from Anonymous:
How can i put more of a pinch on my x2?

Answer:
For detailed directions on how to pinch a stick, check out this article.

Question from undisclosed
I started playing about three weeks ago, and I have an STX Vector and an STX X2. I like the way the Vector is pinched. I'd like to know how I can pinch my X2 to the shape of the Vector without changing the shape of the scoop or weakening the head too much. I go to a military boarding school so I don't have access to an oven or even a hair dryer, but I can clamp it, or wait till the next time I go home to bake it or something. If I clamp it, how much should I clamp it so that it results with the same width of the Vector?

Answer:
For directions on baking the stick when you go home, see this article. If you'd like to do it at school, get some heavy duty string and tie the sidewalls together. Pinch the stick a little more than you'd like it to be in the end as it will bend back slightly. This process takes a while, however.
