.:Lacrosse as a Professional Sport:.

I'm sure you all, like I did, heralded the coming of the MLL. Finally, a professional outdoor league. I watched all the Lizards games, having the benefit of satellite television. But, since the end of the season, I've been wondering what the MLL, and all pro lacrosse leagues for that matter, have in store. For now, lets focus on the MLL. The MLL is unlike all other professional sports, where a 30 second television slot costs millions. I could probably buy an advertising slot on MLL programming for this site, and not be in debt. They seem to be suffering severely, and are accepting money from wherever they can get it. Sobe, Bud Light, and even Merrill Lynch are advertising, and benefiting both themselves and the MLL, who is getting by on what they have. The MLL seems young and healthy, and I think that it will grow. With the addition of a few more expansion teams to not just be the east coast, maybe Ohio or even a western state such as Colorado would bring the league nationwide. My prediction is in five years the MLL will be prosporing.
